BOP Components and Possible Cross Reactors
Balsam of Peru is a complex substance made of hundreds of different components. Those who react to BOP may be reacting to one or more of these components. To complicate matters, these components may be similar to other substances. Therefore, some people will experience a cross-reaction to these similar substances. The list below is not comprehensive, but it includes many of the components and cross-reactors that may flare BOP allergic contact dermatitis and some of the products in which they may be found.
